Many of you have come to accept that Beyonce is a force of nature.  Powerful Women. Most importantly you appreciate Beyonce for her talents.  Everything outside of her talent is just extra. We need more like you

Beyonce Fanatics
You all are starting to make me a little annoyed.  In fact, some of you are bundling everything Beyonce does and what is written about Beyonce together with her music which makes no sense to me. Let me explain

When Beyonce made the song "Single Ladies" many of you were singing along and having a great time which is fantastic however some of you never realized that Beyonce was happily married when "Single Ladies" first came out. 

You probably also remember the rumors created around the world when the song "Resentment" was released. If you don't, let me remind you that EVERYBODY was under the impression that the lyric I listed below had everyone thinking that Beyonce was telling the world about her marital issues with husband Jay-Z. Here is the lyric from the song "Resentment" I was just talking about.

And now Beyonce's Lemonade

Haven't heard it yet but I have sure seen and heard about it online. To be honest I was in Raleigh, NC yesterday running a few errands and was listening to one of their gospel radio stations and the hosts of the radio station were talking about this Beyonce Lemonade also.  Everywhere I turn or look someone is talking about Beyonce and Jay-Z struggling marriage.  

And Another Thing

The same women who believe Beyonce is airing out her relationship issues to the world are the same women who air their issues online.  I will never say that Jay-Z and Beyonce don't have marital issues.  What I will say is that we should learn how to appreciate great music for what it is and nothing more until we know otherwise.  Keyword is "KNOW".

Do y'all remember in the movie coming to America when Semi and Hakim got there jobs at McDowells? 

Well, I remember Prince Hakim walked into Mr. McDowell's daughters office with his cleaning supplies and he said this....

"Hello...I am Hakim..I have been recently placed in charge of garbage.....do you have any that requires disposal? Well when it fills up don't be afraid to call me.I will come take it out most urgently...when you think of garbage think of Hakim"...

Do y'all remember that? When you think of garbage think of me...lol

What are you so passionate about that when people think of it...... they think of you? Several Wise men have said repeatedly that our lives are either an Example or a Warning...do you agree? Well if you do I am sure you will love this survival kit I found surfing online

Daily Survival Kit 

Fill a baggie with a Toothpick, Rubber band, Band aid, Pencil, Eraser, Chewing gum, Mint, Candy kiss, Tea bag

Then attach this motivational poem to the bag.

1. Toothpick - to remind you to pick out the good qualities in others

2. Rubber band - to remind you to be flexible: things might not always work out the way you want, but it will work out.

3. Band aid - to remind you to heal hurt feelings, 

yours and someone else's

4. Pencil - to remind you to list your blessings everyday

5. Eraser - to remind you that everyone makes mistakes, 

and it's OK

6. Chewing gum - to remind you to stick with it and 

you can accomplish anything

7. Mint - to remind you that you are worth a mint!

8. Candy kiss - to remind you that everyone needs a 

kiss or a hug every day

9. Tea bag - to remind you to relax daily and 

go over your list of blessings

Out of everything that we packed into our Survival Kits my favorite is:

# 5.Eraser - to remind you that everyone makes mistakes, 

and it's OK......I like to say "Fail Forward".. Think about it for a moment, out of all the great things that have been done to date there has been no one who has succeeded in anything the very first time they tried... 

Lastly in regards to mistakes, always remember "we learn more from losing than we do from winning"..or remember the old time classic Thomas Edison student who stood up and made the statement to Thomas Edison ..."you failed 10,000 times". and Thomas Edison responded "I have not failed 10,000 times. I have just found 10,000 ways that it can not be done...or should we look to good ole Michael Air Jordan who is considered to most people to be the greatest basketball player of all time and on his stat sheet it simply exposes that as great of a player that he was he missed over 9,000 shots.....so if you ask me...yes it's ok to make mistakes!!

Coming To America Late Night Thought (Blog #79) High Performance Coach

Last nite we had a blast talking about a daily survivor kit with day 1 of our Coming to America movie theme Late Night Thought.  We also randomly sang together one of my favorite scenes of the movie which was:

On a scale from 1-10 what do you rate yourself in regards to the daily disciplines it takes to achieving your dream? 

When is last time you invested in yourself? 

Do you go to bed every night feeling complete or incomplete? 

Are there things on your dream list not checked off yet?

Another Coming To America Scene to remember:

"We are in New York let's dress like New Yorkers" (environment)

Do you remember when Semi (Who was played by Arsenio Hall) and Hakim (Who was played by Eddie Murphy" got all their luggage stolen while they were getting a tour for that apartment they went to see in the poorest part of Queens, NY.  Do you also remember when they went back outside from the tour of their new apartment and Hakim said to Semi:  "Let them have our pearly robes...we are in New York we have to dress like New Yorkers"....

When I watch this particular scene of the movie i get excited because what Prince Hakim was saying was exactly what I basically say as a success coach almost everyday of my life.  

Environment Enviroment Enviroment .....Even Napoleon Hill once said before, "human beings, every single second of their lives are either creating their environment or changing their environment"

So my only question I have for you before we move forward with tonight's late night thought is..

Why Not You? 

Today, many will awaken with a fresh sense of inspiration. Why not you? 

Today, many will open their eyes to the beauty that surrounds them. Why not you? 

Today, many will choose to leave the ghost of yesterday behind and seize the immeasurable power of today. Why not you? 

Today, many will break through the barriers of the past by looking at the blessings of the present. Why not you?

Today, for many the burden of self doubt and insecurity will be lifted by the security and confidence of empowerment. Why not you? 

Today, many will rise above their believed limitations and make contact with their powerful innate strength. Why not you?

Can Your Business Survive Without The Internet?

I've attended business conferences and this question is often asked and the last time I heard the question asked it raised my interest to find out more.

What is isp internet?
Is my monthly internet bill too high?
What is a broadband?
Do I have the fastest internet speed currently available?
Who is the fastest internet provider?

About four years ago I left my home for 2-3 weeks for business trip/vacation and came back home to realize I didn't pay my cable bill.  This is when that Oprah Winfrey "Aha Moment" happened for me. I was lost. I felt empty. I felt confused.  When the customer service representative told me that a technician couldn't come reconnect my service for 48 hours my heart dropped.  I pleaded with customer service. I demanded to speak with a supervisor. It was unbelievable. After speaking with the supervisor for about 25 minutes it hit me.  I was going to have to live without the internet for two full days.  The news was so depressing that every time they put me on hold to "see what they can do" I began thinking of the good ole days when my cell phone carrier had me in a monthly package that came with unlimited internet access.  Man the nostalgia of it all is so real.  So is it my cell phone carrier to blame for my panic attack not having internet for the next 48 hours? All I know is that if I wasn't going to be charged ten dollars for every GB that I use then this 48 hours wouldn't be so bad.

So Can Your Business Survive Without The Internet?

Sometimes when I'm bored I play the what if game with myself.  One of the themes I seem to play more often than others is "What if no one around the world had access to the internet for one full year. Would life be different?"

What if most of your birthday wishes were given to you in person or by a good old fashioned phone call?
What if the friends that you don't like could not know anything about you unless you wanted to be near them?
What if you still took the same amount of pictures of yourself and kept them for yourself and couldn't post them on the internet for the world to see? Would you take the same amount of pictures? Less pictures? or More pictures??

Everybody Knew About Bubba Gump's Dream

In the middle of the Vietnam War stands Bubba, right there speaking about his shrimping business. And once Bubba made Forrest Gump a partner in his shrimping business he insisted on splitting all future profits with Forrest 50/50.

Short Poem I Wrote About Life

Take that one thing and ride it until you die

Take that same one thing and share it with the world before you die

They always ask me why I occasionally talk about death

Cause it's the only thing guaranteed..how many days do you have left?

That's one question that doesn't have a definite answer

If I keep getting a little bit better everyday I might even become a professional dancer

Because In life there's only 2 types of people

One group are relaxing waiting and the other is attracting all the right people

One thing about Bubba is that he was always talking about his shrimping business

Day after day after day he was talking about that shrimping business

The purpose of this blog was to stir up some tension
