According to Forbes, the National Football League is the most profitable sports league in the world today with revenue of $13 billion. The NFL is a professional American football league that comprises of 32 teams. These teams are divided into two categories; the American Football Conference and the National Football Conference. NFL is the highest professional level of the American football across the world. 

This league was formed in 1920 and was known as the American Professional Football Association and was later renamed the National Football League in 1922. This league has the highest average attendance of any professional sports league in the world with an average attendance of up to 67, 591. It is the most popular league in the United States of America. The first Super Bowl was held in 1966 after the NFL and American Football league agreed to merge.

It is essential to point out that Super Bowl games is considered to be the most watched television program in the history of America. This just shows how this league is popular and loved in America. According to Forbes, a considerable amount of the league’s revenue is derived from the rights fees that are paid by television networks. The National Football League has signed with major television networks across America to broadcast the matches live. Some of the TV networks include FOX, CBS, NBC, ESPN and other well-known TV networks in the US.
